Looking for a fun way to spread some love at home for Valentine’s Day? Look no further. I’ve created a free valentine’s day printable to help you encourage and love on your kids all February long.

January is all about getting back into a routine which is usually met with resistance from you, your partner and your kids. You may find yourself yelling commands, ultimatums and directives more than you even thought possible when all you’re trying to do is ensure the kiddos have everything they need. As moms, we often feel like the bad guy even though we have nothing but good intentions. Well, what if I tell you that in less than 2 minutes a day, you can connect with your kids and feel like the best mom ever for at least 14 days in February?
Valentine’s Day Countdown Idea
Well, here’s the not-so-magic answer. Valentine’s Day Countdown Door Hearts. It’s a mouthful I know but it’s also a quick and easy way to pour into your kids this Valentine’s Day. On January 31st or before, you will print out 14 of the free valentine’s day printable door hearts and write one thing you love about your child. Then, starting February 1st, before they wake up, you will tape a heart to their door. When they wake up, they’ll notice the heart on their door and read one reason why you love them or find them special. What a beautiful way to start their day!
Then, you’ll repeat that process everyday until Valentine’s Day. Not only will they be moved by what you wrote but seeing the number of hearts on the door grow each day will be a visual reminder that there are so many things about them to be loved and appreciated.

Not Just for Small Kids
This is great for kids of all ages (teenagers too) and even adults too. We are never too old to hear we are loved and valued. Make it extra fun and do it for the entire month and see if it makes a difference in the way you interact and communicate with your loved ones. I added another version of the free valentine’s printable that is more of a pastel vibe for those of you who are sick of red and wan to customize the dates on your hearts. I hope you not only make it an annual event but also have so much fun making it your own.
